Due to its three thousand year old history, Beijing is home to a cultural heritage that is unique in the world. A total of approximately 21.5 million people live in the administrative region of Beijing. The list of attractions and activities in Beijing is extremely long and has something for every taste. For example, there are many historical interesting places such as the Great Wall, the Palace Museum, the Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven Park which are visited by tourists from all over the world every year. The 2008 Olympic Games were successfully held in Beijing, which made Beijing world famous.
