SMP is a global company on a growth course. Originally founded in Bötzingen under the name of Badische Plastikwerke in 1959, SMP is now a global enterprise that offers its employees exciting projects and outstanding development opportunities. As part of the Motherson Group, we are optimally networked for reacting quickly to customer requirements and making use of synergy effects. Thus, we cooperate closely with our sister companies Motherson Automotive Technologies & Engineering (MATE), Samvardhana Motherson Innovative Autosystems (SMIA), Samvardhana Motherson Reflectec (SMR) and Motherson Innovations.

Quality is top priority

SMP provides the highest level of quality at all stages of product development and production – from offer to after-sales service. All SMP manufacturing units and other corporate functions apply certified process-driven quality management systems in compliance with the DIN EN ISO 9001 international quality standard and the specific automobile requirements of Technical Specification IATF 16949:2016. Almost all SMP manufacturing units are certified in accordance with environmental standard ISO 14001 and the safety standard ISO 45001.
